Ms. Maria - One's classroom

My name is Maria Mendoza, and I am a teacher from Venezuela with over 35 years of experience in early childhood education. Teaching has been my lifelong passion, and I feel deeply grateful to have been recognized for my work in many schools throughout my career. I began teaching in 1976, where I developed a strong love for guiding, nurturing, and supporting young children. In 2011, I continued my professional journey in the United States, working in childcare centers and early learning environments.

I studied Psychology and have earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential as well as my Director’s Credential, along with completing all required training hours and professional development courses. I am deeply fascinated by children’s growth and development during their early learning years and am always eager to expand my knowledge. I regularly attend classes, workshops, courses, and educational conferences to continue growing as an educator and to provide the highest quality care and learning experiences.

What I love most about my work is getting to know each child as an individual, understanding their personality, strengths, and unique needs, so I can support their development, encourage their learning, and help them build confidence. Watching children grow, learn, and reach new milestones brings me great joy and fulfillment. Creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel loved, valued, and excited to learn is at the heart of everything I do.
